Optimize your energy use with low-voltage smart thermostats compatible with Hilo. Once connected, they automatically take part in peak demand events, helping you reduce consumption and save money every winter — effortlessly.
2 Financial assistance is offered to Hilo participants who meet and accept the terms of the financial assistance program. This requires adding all eligible connected devices to the Hilo app and committing to participate in automation during peak demand events for 12 months. Financial assistance will be issued to the client in the weeks following connecting their devices to the Hilo app and accepting the agreement. Financial assistance is issued only once per eligible connected device. The number of devices eligible for financial assistance is limited. 4 The average potential savings amount is based on the actual consumption of Hilo customers using a smart heating solution, across all device and housing types, calculated according to the Rate Flex D pricing in effect at the time. This average is derived from data spanning the last three winter seasons (2022–2025) and is calculated on the basis of 100 hours of participation or 25 peak demand events. Potential savings represent the difference between Rate Flex D and the base rate (Rate D), including applicable taxes. Savings with the smart heating solution may vary depending on factors such as the exact number of thermostats associated with the solution, home characteristics, energy-use habits, the rate of participation in peak demand events, and weather conditions.

If you already have a Hilo hub and compatible smart thermostat(s), simply connect your device(s) via the Hilo mobile app.
Not a customer yet?
Place your first order to confirm your eligibility and get the Hilo hub. Once it’s installed, download the Hilo app to connect your smart thermostats and take part in peak demand events.
FAQs
Hydro-Québec offers a bonus of up to $210 per eligible Hilo-compatible device. The bonus will be issued via Interac e-Transfer within three months after you connect your device to Hilo and accept the financial assistance agreement.
With Hydro-Québec's Rate Flex D, you’ll benefit from lower electricity rates throughout the winter — except during peak demand events, when rates are higher.
Hilo can automate the management of your connected devices to help you use less energy during those periods.
This can help you save up to 20% on your winter electricity bill.
According to clauses 6.1 and 6.2 of the General Sales and Installation Conditions Agreement:
- Hilo-branded connected devices are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for three years;
- Non-Hilo connected devices are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Participants should consult the instruction manual or technical data sheet for these connected devices and products on hiloenergie.com.
There is a limit to the number of some devices that can be paired with the Hilo Hub, regardless of whether they are purchased from Hilo. This explains why you can only add a certain number of these devices to your shopping cart, including those that are offered as a bonus with your package and those that you decide to add on your own.
For example, a maximum of 10 dimmers can be paired with your hub. If you select eight dimmers as part of your Large Home package, your order will automatically be limited to two additional dimmers so that you don’t exceed the limit.
