"This announcement represents a big step toward increasing Hydro-Québec customer participation in reducing winter peak consumption. Thousands of customers with devices from these providers can now join the collective effort."
Last winter, Hilo successfully shifted 103 MW of power demand per challenge. Plus, participants earned an average of $135 in rewards and saved up to 15% on their electricity bills over the course the challenge season.
