What is an expansion unit for electric floor heating thermostats?

When you have a very large area of radiant flooring that needs to be covered by one thermostat (thereby exceeding the maximum thermostat load of 3,600 watts), an expansion unit may be required to relay the temperature setting of the main thermostat to the flooring area covered by the expansion unit.

Whether your system requires one or several expansion units, our installation teams will already have these units available in their truck so they can be installed free of charge when needed, at the same time as your Hilo thermostat for electric floor heating.
