I have a Hilo-compatible Mysa thermostat. During a challenge, I noticed the temperature didn’t drop as much as I expected. Is that normal?

Yes, that’s completely normal. Mysa thermostats have a built-in setting to prevent the temperature from dropping below 14°C during peak events (i.e., challenges).

That’s because Mysa devices automatically maintain temperature limits between 14°C and 27°C, ensuring that even during reduction periods, the temperature will not go below the 14°C threshold — regardless of the setpoint assigned to them in the app.

For example, if you join a challenge in Extreme mode without preheating and you have an initial setpoint temperature of 19°C, your Mysa thermostat(s) won’t let the temperature drop below 14°C. By comparison, other connected smart thermostats (such as Hilo-branded devices), might lower the temperature to 13°C under the same conditions.
