This offer is valid until January 26, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. and is offered exclusively to new customers of the Hilo smart home service. The offer consists of a 20 discount on the total value of their shopping cart. Please note that purchasing Hilo-branded thermostats requires a 12-month commitment to participate in Hilo challenges. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotions, including referral programs, and may only be redeemed once per address or Hydro-Québec account number. Hilo and Hydro-Québec reserve the right to modify offers, services, and rates at any time without prior notice. The offer is limited to a maximum of 20 thermostats per person. To take advantage of the Hilo smart home service and its associated offers, the participant must meet the following conditions:
(i) Commit to participating in Hilo challenges for a 12-month period.
(ii) Be a Hydro-Québec customer as an account holder, co-holder, or authorized representative of a Rate D contract (basic rate) without the Winter Credit option. This applies whether you are a tenant or the owner of the residence where the Hilo smart home service will be installed.
(iii) Purchase connected devices from Hilo.
(iv) Own a smart mobile device capable of downloading and using the Hilo mobile app (refer to hiloenergie.com for compatible versions).
Please note that this device is not included in the Hilo smart home service. Standard messaging and data charges apply to all notifications and remote access via the Internet or mobile network.
To take advantage of the Hilo smart home service and its associated offers, the participant must also ensure their residence satisfies the conditions listed below.
The participant’s residence must:
(i) Be equipped with a Hydro-Québec smart meter.
(ii) Have electrical installations that comply with all applicable electrical standards and laws.
(iii) Have a high-speed internet connection, a wireless network (such as ZigBee, Wi-Fi, or similar), and an available, functional Ethernet port on the modem or router.
(iv) Be a single-family home, semi-detached home, or row house, or be located in a building with two or more units.
(v) Be located in a municipality where the Hilo smart home service is available (visit hiloenergie.com for specific locations).
The purchase of connected devices from Hilo may include a credit. If applicable, this credit represents the difference between (a) the total current retail price of the connected devices and (b) the amount billed to the participant (before any applicable discounts). The credit is covered by Hilo unless there is a default or termination of the agreement. In such cases, any remaining credit balance in the participant’s account becomes immediately due and payable. This balance is calculated based on an equal monthly reduction over a 12-month period starting from the installation date of the connected devices.
